RSO Commander-in-Chief’s Message to UN Secretary-General & Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser: Rohingya Nation Expresses Gratitude & Calls for Action

On behalf of the entire Rohingya nation, I, as President of the Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO), extend our deepest gratitude to Honorable UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Honorable Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Laureate & Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s Interim Government, for their unwavering commitment to the Rohingya cause.

For decades, the Rohingya people have been subjected to genocide, forced displacement, and brutal persecution—first by Myanmar’s military junta and now by the terrorist Arakan Army (AA), which continues the same oppressive policies in Arakan (Rakhine). These forces have denied our very existence, attempted to erase our identity, and continue to displace, starve, and kill Rohingya civilians with impunity.

But today, we see hope.

Despite the junta and Arakan Army refusing to recognize us as Rohingya, today, Honorable Secretary-General António Guterres stood before the world and called us by our rightful name. This is not just a word—it is a rejection of the lies spread by our oppressors. It is an act of defiance against those who seek to erase us.

The Rohingya people are deeply grateful for this recognition. It is a powerful reminder that we are not forgotten, that the world sees us for who we are, even when those who occupy our homeland refuse to.

📍 We thank Honorable Secretary-General António Guterres for standing with us, for calling us by our name, and for restoring the dignity that the terrorist Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar’s military junta have tried to strip away from us.

📍 Honorable Professor Muhammad Yunus has once again proven that true leadership means action. His commitment to resolving the Rohingya funding crisis gives our community the strength to carry on in the face of immense hardship. For this, the Rohingya people express their deepest appreciation.

📍 For the first time in years, the Rohingya feel a renewed sense of hope—not because of words, but because of the sincerity of these two great leaders.

Next Eid in Arakan – A Hope That Must Become Reality

The words of Honorable Professor Muhammad Yunus will live in the hearts of the Rohingya people:

👉 “The goal is clear—Rohingya must celebrate next Eid in Arakan, not in exile.”

These words were not just spoken—they were felt.

For too long, Rohingya have marked Eid in exile, in camps where dreams fade and futures remain uncertain. But this must not continue. Arakan is our home. Arakan is where we belong.

This statement from Professor Yunus is not just a vision—it is a commitment. It is a promise that RSO will continue to fight for, that our people will hold onto, and that history must deliver.

Condemning the Crimes of the Terrorist Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar’s Junta

📍 While the world speaks of human rights, the Rohingya people continue to suffer under the brutality of the terrorist Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar’s genocidal military junta.

📍 The Arakan Army (AA) is actively persecuting Rohingya, forcing thousands to flee Arakan (Rakhine), while keeping those who remain under forced labor, extortion, and starvation.

📍 The military junta, which once led the genocide of 2017, still holds power in Myanmar, blocking justice, preventing repatriation, and continuing to deny our very existence.

📍 RSO makes it clear—these forces must be held accountable. The world cannot look away while Rohingya are being slaughtered, displaced, and erased.

Urgent Call for the Restoration of Rohingya Humanitarian Aid

📍 Honorable Secretary-General António Guterres made a critical statement on the ongoing humanitarian crisis affecting Rohingya refugees.

➡️ “Funding cuts are creating immense suffering, and this must not continue. The world has a responsibility to address the Rohingya aid crisis.”

The RSO and the Rohingya people stand behind this call. The reduction of funds is leading to food shortages, lack of medical care, and the collapse of essential services in the refugee camps.

📍 The international community must act now to ensure that funding is restored and that no Rohingya suffers from hunger or deprivation simply because the world chooses to forget.

RSO’s Promise: The Fight for Justice Will Continue

This visit has brought hope to the Rohingya people. But hope alone is not enough.

RSO has fought for decades—for justice, for dignity, for the right of the Rohingya people to return home. And we will not stop.

📍 To the terrorist Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar’s junta—your crimes will not be forgotten.
📍 To the nations of the world—if you remain silent, you will be complicit.

We will continue to stand with our people, to honor the sacrifices of those who came before us, and to ensure that the Rohingya one day return to Arakan with full rights, full dignity, and full justice.

To Honorable António Guterres—your leadership has restored the faith of an abandoned people.
To Honorable Professor Muhammad Yunus—your vision has reminded the world that our fight is not over.

The Rohingya people will never forget those who stood beside them in their darkest hour.

This is not the end—this is the beginning of a new fight. The fight for home, for justice, for Arakan.

And InshaAllah, next Eid, we will not be in exile—we will be home.
